CAD in Textiles & Fashion Design (3 months)
In this programme, you will learn various CAD applications as applied in designing Textiles and Garments. The course is delivered in 3 modules, covering Graphic & Design Software ( Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator & Colour Matters), Fashion CAD ( Design Process , Illustration & Range Board Development) and Textile Design (simulation of various types of weaves and textures, Texture mapping).The course involves practical hands on training and classroom learning. Post Diploma in Fashion Knitwear and Apparel Merchandising (1.5 Years)
This programme has been specially designed to address the needs of the Apparel industry as also provide an avenue for Diploma students. This programme has been very well received and has been suitably modified in keeping with trends and needs of the Industry.
The course spread over 3 semesters gives a good grounding in the core subjects as well as holistic learning through projects, assignments and industrial internship. The inputs cover Knitwear basics ,Fabric Studies, Fashion Studies ,Merchandising basics and Pattern Making and Garment construction in Semester 1
The learning is further enhanced in Semester 2 with core inputs on Fashion Knitwear, CAD(grading & Marking) ,Merchandising Systems, Production & Quality Control and embellished with induction in Professional Ethics & Communication.
This is followed by an Industry Internship during summer vacation with a specific aim and agenda. Finally in the 3rd Semester the students learn about Product Development and Apparel Marketing with a Final Project which will bring all their learning to fruition. This programme addresses specific requirements of Industry for middle level positions. This also benefits scores of students of Diploma courses to obtain entry to industry at higher levels.
