With the Chennai campus of Pearl Academy of Fashion, South India gets its first fashion institute of international stature. Owing to the traditional strength as a textile base, and its proximity to industrial centres, PAF decided to setup its first campus in Chennai in Southern India.

The Chennai Centre follows the central philosophy of the Academy of providing the best possible infrastructural support to its students, and houses specialized Home Textile Labs; Design Studios; Drawing Studios; Seminar Rooms; Sewing & Cutting Labs; Computer rooms ;a modern and well equipped Conference Room; Textile Testing Lab, Faculty - student contact rooms and a canteen. A world class library with audio visual facilities has been set up to facilitate students.

Pearl Academy of Fashion ,Chennai started its operations in July 2006 with 2 UG and 2 PG courses in a leased premises of around 16000 sq ft in a very central and prominent location opposite LoyolaCollege. To cater to the various courses 10 class  rooms, and labs for sewing, pattern making , Computers, CAD, Material,  exploration ,Weaving and Textile testing were established in 2006 to cater to around 150 to 200 students. Over the past 3.5 years concomitant to the increase in students strength in the 3rd year to around 250 an additional building of 6400 sq ft was also leased to accommodate a total of around 400 students.
