The Post-Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design is an opportunity to take up a creative career in clothing. It holds great potential for employment opportunities in the rapidly expanding designer label, luxury brands, apparel retail brands and ready-to-wear fashion industry. In the current competitive environment, a fashion designer needs to be equipped with knowledge, skills and professional attitude to give shape to creative ideas through technical interpretation.

The special feature of the course is that it provides for a broad intake of graduates from any discipline to imbibe an integrated approach to design technical subjects with thorough market understanding. The course provides opportunities to students to gain live experience through industry interaction, internship and live projects to learn and better professional practices. It helps develop students with a holistic perspective of complete product development process right from concept to consumer. Semester Two onwards students undertake “women's wear” industry projects. Students also understand the practices of the industry better from the industry exposure they come across through industrial visits to design houses, export houses, process houses, and dying printing units. Experts from the industry are often invited for discussions on specific topics and to bring students up to date in the state of art technology implemented and used widely in the industry.

Teaching methods will evolve in this semester to develop students towards greater independence and enable them to embrace the self-study mode and research methods. The final semester provides the maximum scope to design own final research brief and implement it successfully.

PORTFOLIO
The students have a unique opportunity to present their representative creative collections through Portfolio, which has emerged as one of the most prestigious fashion shows in Delhi. The event showcases the students' conceptual skills, creative talent, material & technical knowledge and market awareness. The show provides students a fabulous platform to launch their design careers.
