The Department of Business & Technology, Pearl Academy of Fashion conducts an All India Student Project Competition every year. The objective of this platform is to provide students an opportunity to showcase their talent and original ideas to a wide forum.
Outcome
The Student Project Competition was held on the 11th & 12th April 2011 at Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi. This year we had 95 entries from 20 colleges from all over India. Out of 95 entries we had invited 53 abstracts to present on the 11th of April. They presented to juries in four parallel panels.
Finalists were selected from these panels and on the 12th we had the Final Event.
The jury for the final event comprised of Dr, Shanbhag, Academic Advisor, Pearl Academy of Fashion, Mr. Rajesh Kochhar, Managing Director, Staple Service, Ms. Elfa Verma, Founder, Eventalya, Ms. Lipika Sen, Advertising Professional and Ms. Deepali Gupta, Textile and Garment technologist. Our special guest was Mr. Mayur Sharma (Highway on my Plate - ex PAF) talked to the student about innovation. Additionally Mr. Rajesh Kochhar addressed to students on Innovation in the Apparel Industry. The students who presented are as follows:

On the first day of the programme we had also provided an opportunity to the interested students to visit the Pearl Global Factory Ltd, Gurgaon. Overall the programme was very successful and I would like to thank each college for your kind support for making this event in a great success. We look forward to conduct the programme in a wider way in coming years.
